About Business Energy Agency — the digital agency for UK energy brokers.
Twelve years in UK commercial energy, twenty websites built and ranked inside this one sector, and over 100,000 business energy leads delivered to sales floors that had to call them. That’s the agency record, and all of it is in the same market.

History
Since 2014
How I ended up doing only this.
I came into commercial energy in 2014, on the commercial side rather than the marketing side. That matters more than it sounds. My first real education wasn’t a keyword tool — it was sitting near a desk of people ringing businesses whose contracts were ending in eleven weeks, listening to which openers worked and which got hung up on, and watching what happened to a month’s numbers when the lead source dried up.
The marketing came out of a complaint. The enquiries arriving from the website were worse than the ones the desk sourced itself: wrong supply sizes, domestic customers, people who had typed “cheap electricity” and landed on a page written for a procurement manager. Nobody could tell me why. So I learned why, and then I fixed it, and then other brokers asked me to fix theirs.
Twenty sites later the pattern barely changes. Most broker websites are built by agencies that have never seen a Letter of Authority, and the tell is always in the same places: a quote form that asks for the postcode but not the contract end date, a services page that lists “gas and electricity” and stops, and a homepage that takes five seconds to become usable on the mid-range Android that half the enquiries come from.

Checkable, not decorative
What the three numbers actually mean.
Twelve years. Long enough to have worked through two full price shocks, the shift from quarterly to monthly renewal cycles at several brokerages, and the arrival of half-hourly settlement as a mainstream conversation rather than a large-site technicality. I’ve seen which marketing survives a market where prices treble and which quietly stops producing.
Twenty-plus websites. Broker sites, consultancy sites, comparison front ends and supplier acquisition journeys, all inside UK business energy. Every one of them gave me a set of results, and each new build starts from the accumulated version rather than from a blank template.
Over 100,000 leads. Enquiries delivered through sites, search and paid campaigns I built or ran. Not impressions, not sessions. The number that gets counted at the point a business owner asked for a quote.
I don’t publish client names, logos or reviews. Brokerages compete with each other and most of them would rather their competitors didn’t know who builds their lead flow. If a client gives me written permission to name them, I’ll add it here. Until then, this page says nothing on the subject rather than dressing up a placeholder.

How I work
One operator
You’re dealing with me.
There is no account manager layer here. The person who audits your site is the person who writes the strategy, writes the copy and answers your email in March when a ranking moves. I bring in a developer or a designer when a build needs it, and I tell you when I do.
That caps how many clients I can take, which is why I’d rather turn down a poor fit early. It also means I can say things an agency with a sales target can’t: that your ad budget is too small to be worth managing yet, that your real problem is the CRM rather than the website, or that the fix you’re asking me to quote for is one you can do in-house in an afternoon.
What I won’t do: run competing search campaigns for two brokers chasing the same terms in the same region, buy links, publish AI-written filler under a fake author byline, or charge a percentage of your ad spend. The last one puts my incentive on the wrong side of the table.

Where to find me.
Business Energy Agency operates remotely from the United Kingdom and works with clients UK-wide. Email hello@businessenergyagency.co.uk or call 07735 447845. I answer both myself.
If you want to see how I think before you speak to me, the published analyses are the fastest read — independent teardowns of business energy websites, written from public sources, none of them clients. The services and pricing pages cover the commercial side.
